American auto makers will never be profitable unless the playing field is leveled in their favor and that's the real reason for the Union card check innitiative that will be signed into law by President Obama.

Instead of the Detriot 3 changing their business model, to be competative with the non union manufacturers, the push will be on to install the UAW into these non union  entities and signing card check into law will make that goal reachable for unions.

The UAW get a new group of dues paying members and solve ( at least to their satisfaction) the present problems now being faced by the  union US auto industry.

THis way the union guide lines will be enforced throughout the entire US auto industry and the union wage and benefit package will prevail nation wide.

Weather you like this or not, you have to say, it is really brilliant, and shows the connection betwen the unions and the new Democrat administration and majority in congress.
