Old School media prays for a mircale that McCain will lay off Obama. "Please, please please, let them stop talking about AyersRezkoRanies"
You know that the Democratic candidate is in trouble when the Old School media starts crying about wanting a "clean campaign" and a "campaign on the issues". Today, that happened when Campbell Brown of CNN begged for the negative campaign tactics on both sides to end.
This means that CNN knows that Obama is going to be hurt badly by it. We know this because, as we pointed out yesterday, Obama went negative four weeks ago to the thrills, chills and excitement of the Old School media. He has been going negative for that period of time or longer with nary a peep of dissent from his cherring squad.
But, as soon as McCain and Palin started in on Obama, the Old School media calls for a cease fire. If McCain and Palin needed any further evidence that their tactics were the way to go, Brown gave it to them in this story.
My only advice to McCain/Palin is to go even harder. Ayers and Wright are only the surface.
And, for the record, telling the truth isn’t being negative nor is it dishonorable. And, for the record, Obama’s character and judgment are campaign issues, contrary to what the Old School media wants you to beleive.
That’s because Obama has said that he is qualified to be President because of his character and judgment. As well, a person’s character is always relevant to a political campaign. As the old saying goes, talk is cheap. And if you elect someone of poor character, who has merely talked a good game, chances are he was lying to you. Americans have the right to know whether or not Obama can be trusted.
From what he has been saying, just about his relationship with William Ayers, Americans could easily assume that Obama, like his VP choice "Lyin" Joe Biden, that Obama is not telling the truth. That’s a pretty important issue to the left. At least it was when they were talking about Bush and Cheney.
