All during the campaign, Barak Obama promised to do everything completely different than the Bush Administration. He promised ONE HUNDRED PERCENT CHANGE.
In order to keep that promise, Obama will have to end aid to Africa. That is because Bush's record on help for the Dark Continent has been nothing short of stellar. In fact, Bush's work has been so outstanding he is being honored with the Distinquished Humantarian Award by a leading African-American group. Here's a quote from a USA Today editorial:
"I've never seen Africa policy better served than under President Bush," said Jendayi Frazer, the assistant secretary of the Bureau of African Affairs. "There's not a single thing that we said we were going to do in 2000 that we haven't done. … We've done far more than I ever expected, and I've been working Africa issues for more than 30 years. The administration's record far exceeded my own expectations."
It is clear that Obama will be forced to take a completely different approach to Africa if he is to live up to his primary campaign promise. His 100% change can only mean that Obama will abandon Bush's policies and the aid he has directed to that continent.
Although the Old School media does not want to report facts regarding Obama, that demonstrate his dishonest campaign rhetoric, the news will bubble out. You can bet Obama will build upon Bush's African legacy, not change it. Obama has already signalled that many of Bush's policies and employees will impact his administration.
