Did McCain put the training wheels on Obama?

Politics

The most significant message that John McCain drove home in tonight’s debate, is that Barak Obama is not ready to be President of the United States. He did this in a number of ways, which in sum total, could leave independent voters with the impression that Obama will need training wheels if he becomes President, while McCain will be ready from day one.

First, McCain said at least seven times that Obama "doesn’t understand" numerous issues.  Second, McCain emphasized his travels to many of the world’s critical areas and his familiarity with those regions and their leaders.  Third he underscored Obama’s failure to travel to those areas and his failure to conduct hearings on Afghanistan even though he chaired the commmittee.  Fourth, McCain emphasized his experience in making decisions on America’s major foreign endeavors over the past 26 years.  Fourth, McCain said it directly.  Obama is not ready to be President, and that the Presidency is not a place for on the job training.

If there was one phrase that I think stood out it was that Obama "doesn’t understand".  I hope independent voters understand that point.

Not sure McCain put the training wheels on Obama. That presumes the youngster even has mastered a tricycle.

The image I had is that McCain gave Obama a huge wedgie.
