In a block buster report from the non-partisan Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the CMMS said that the Pelosi/Obama Care Monstrosity on the Potomac would increase the cost of health care as a percentage of GDP to over 21.3% by 2019.  Under current law, the cost would increae to only 20.8%.  Here is a part of a story from Reuters:

For instance, a new study from the U.S. government’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services finds that the healthcare reform bill recently passed in the House of Representatives would increase healthcare spending to 21.3 percent of GDP by 2019 compared with 20.8 percent under current law. That’s bending the curve the wrong way. The study also questions the “long-term viability” of the $500 billion in Medicare cuts meant to help pay for expanded insurance coverage.

This is a stunning revelation since Obama has routinely claimed that health care had to be reformed in order to reduce our unsustainable debt path.  It also makes a mockery of the claim that health care reform as proposed would reduce over all health costs.

One has to wonder how the brain dead liberals running dead tree newspapers, can wrote editorials in support of Pelosi/Obama Care and fail to report on the CMMS numbers.  It has to be that they are incompetent at their jobs.  No sane person could support the liberals health care take over.  Which may be why liberals are supporting it.  Is this the change you had hoped for?
